1. Water Soluble Markers (Item #'s 515 Fine & 516 Thick): This marker is perfect for marking on white and light colored fabrics. The projects to be quilted should be marked before basting. This avoids bleeding into the batting, if this does happen wash the fabric (pre-wash all fabrics and make sure your project is washable before using.) If projects are marked before basting the lines can be easily removed with water or using our eraser pen (item # 518). |
2. Chaco Liner (Item # 469): The chaco liners are perfect for marking dark fabrics. The ratchet mechanism, which delivers the chalk onto the fabric, leaves a nice fine line. As the stitches are worked the chalk disappears and there is no need to go back and remove the chalk. However, if you misalign the quilting design or change your mind, the markings can be removed very easily. |
3. Mechanical Pencils for Sewing/Quilting (Item #'s 5014, 5015, & 5016): These mechanical pencils are great. These pencils make such a fine line that the lines are hardly noticeable when the project is finished. |
4. Iron on Transfer Pencils (Item # 5004 & 5005): Iron on transfer pencils are used to copy a design that you wish to place on a project. It can be used for paper, fabric or wood. Trace the design with the Iron On Transfer Pencil; then place the traced design on the fabric, paper, or wood and iron it on to your desired project. The design will appear. Please note the design will be copied in reverse and once a design is copied it cannot be removed. The iron on transfer pencil works best on light colored fabrics. |
