Steve Butler is the National Sales Manager for Clover USA. Previous industry experience was as National Account Manager for American &Efird, a founder of Superior Threads and Vice President of YLI Corporation. In each he was responsible for sales and product development. He has also owned a sewing machine dealership and quilt shop. His experience throughout makes him uniquely qualified to answer many questions on threads, needles, notions and sewing machines as well as provide valuable insight into sales and store operations. Steve is a natural educator who has taught classes on a wide range of topics at all major sewing machine conventions, regional trade shows, International Quilt Market, various embroidery and general sewing venues and has been a four time repeat guest on Martha Pullen's popular PBS series, "Martha's Sewing Room".
Alicia is multitalented in a number of arts such as felting, weaving, beadwork to name a few. She has been in the professional realm as teacher, designer and Spanish translator for over six years with Clover.
Fran is an accomplished entrepreneur, designer, author, and most importantly an educator. She has extensive experience in just about all aspects of needlework with emphasis I knitting, crochet, embroidery and tatting. She was Director of Communications for Clover Needlecraft, Inc. Fran’s love for educating is the core for her ability to connect and entertain making learning fun and easy. Fran continues to be a guest demonstrator at a few of Clover’s trade shows and offers her expert advice on the needle arts in our expanding market.
Carol is the Education Director for Clover Needlecraft where she helps make the company’s many unique products accessible and engaging. She is an accomplished author, designer, sewist, quilter, knitter, pattern maker, and crafter. Writing, editing and dreaming up projects for Clover’s many tools and techniques is a major focus. Carol is also a disciplined and thoughtful teacher whose encouragement and patience regularly inspires student creativity and success. When not teaching a workshop, Carol is busy in the booth demonstrating Clover’s fun and unique tools. Carol is recognized for the strength of her designs and has produced quilt patterns under the “Heatherworks” label. Carol is co-author of Patchwork Pantry, Prettyand Pieced, and has designs in Quilted for Christmas as well as many magazines. She is author of Making Jewelry with the French Knitter and co-author of Bead Weaving on a Loom.
Voni comes to Clover Needlecraft Incorporated after a 15 year employment with distributor E. E. Schenck. Seven years were devoted to Customer Service and eight years as Notions, Gift, and Pattern Buyer. Voni’s ability to think on her feet, strong knowledge of our industry, great humor and dependability are wonderful assets for the Clover Demo Team. What motivates Voni is the connection to people, and creativity that comes through sewing.
Nancy Zieman—author, designer, businesswomen, producer, blogger and national sewing authority—is the host of the popular show Sewing With Nancy®, which appears exclusively on public television stations across the United States and Canada. Nancy has written numerous books. She designs patterns for the New York-based McCall Pattern Company, designs sewing and quilting products for Clover Needlecraft, Inc., and also writes an interactive blog nancyzieman.com/blog
Joan Hawley has enjoyed finding the easy way in sewing for more than 30 years. She fell in love with quilting and started Lazy Girl Designs in 1997. A self-described geek and armchair engineer, she loves creating new twists and techniques for sewing and quilting. She is the creator of Press Perfect for Clover Needlecraft Inc.
